Grazia Ting Deng

Before becoming an anthropologist, I studied and worked as an Italianist. 

I was a lecturer in Italian Studies at Shanghai International Studies University (SISU), teaching both language and content courses, as well as mentoring BA theses;  

I was also the translator of contemporary Italian literary works and children books; 

I was the editor of several textbooks and teaching materials for Chinese-speaking Italian learners; 

I was an Italian-Chinese interpreter and coordinator for several international conferences and cultural events.

Literary Translation

My translations of contemporary Italian literary works include a novel, a theatre play, and a detective novel.
